It’s a me!

Hi there!

I’m located in Lakewood, Colorado, just outside of Denver. I’ve been teaching high school art for 12 years and on the side, I create and sell my own illustration work. My experience as a graphic design teacher provides me with empathy, understanding, and first-hand experience with what it means to design for a wide range of people with diverse needs and keep accessibility at the forefront while balancing stakeholder concerns and tight deadlines.

Regarding work, I thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams where each member can contribute their strengths and work together towards something awesome. I maintain an open mind to new methods that better solve challenging problems for the greater good.

Outside of professional work, my hobbies often revolve around creative pursuits such as pottery and digital/traditional painting. I also love listening to DnD podcasts, enjoying a beautiful graphic novel, and practicing Aikido.

Skills

I bring a range of design skills from my experience in illustration and graphic design. My UX design skills are strengthened by my experience as a teacher designing simple solutions for complex materials, managing projects, and strong empathy and understanding for diverse needs and perspectives.
